Entre los días 20 y 23 de julio tendrá lugar en el circuito Silverstone, en UK, el campeonato internacional ‘Formula Student, en el que participan más de 80 equipos de todo el mundo y más de 2.500 estudiantes de ingenierías que competirán con sus monoplazas, diseñados y construidos por ellos mismos. En esta edición 2017 participa ‘UPM Racing’ de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, formado por un equipo de más de 40 alumnos de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de la UPM, del Máster de Ingeniería en Automoción del INSIA, y de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Aeronáutica y del Espacio. ‘UPM Racing’ compite con un prototipo, equipado con un motor de gasolina de 4 cilindros y 80 CV, que se presentó el 28 de junio en la pista del INSIA.
Al acto asistieron el Vicerrector de Comunicación de la UPM D. Fco. Javier Jiménez Leube, el Director del INSIA D. José María López Martínez.
